Mind
Matters is the Biannual Newsletter of
the Memory and Aging Center & Alzheimer’s Disease
Research Center research programs. The Alzheimer’s
Disease Research Center (ADRC), directed by Dr. Bruce Miller
and funded by the National Institute on Aging, is a research
program that supports and promotes research on Alzheimer’s
Disease and other neurodegenerative diseases that cause
dementia. This research program is being conducted by the
University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), the Gladstone
Institute of Neurological Disease (GIND) and the Department
of Veteran Affairs at San Francisco (VA). The ADRC is composed

HERE. The Memory and Aging Center (MAC), also
directed by Dr. Bruce Miller, is the clinical program, providing
assessment and treatment of neurodegenerative disorders.
Mind
Matters is published every Spring
