Summer 2005

We had been married 43 years, and I had been retired for 12 years in 2005 when I became Fumi’s main caregiver for about a year and a half. We had moved to Seattle in 1999 where we lived next door to her only sibling, Eiichi.

July 2005

Fumi complains of numbness in her right hand. Her primary care physician tells her it is probably carpel tunnel and suggests wearing a brace while she sleeps.

Aug 2005

Fumi goes in for sleep apnea testing and is prescribed a CPAP machine.

Sept 2005

Fumi has trouble with computations.
