The Challenges of FTD versus Alzheimer's

Look for groups that support caregivers of frontotemporal dementia, Pick's disease, semantic dementia, progressive nonfluent aphasia or primary progressive aphasia. While these groups may be harder to find, the specificity of the group tends to be more helpful. Check online as well as in your community. See our support group listing for some suggestions.
If you don't have a FTD-specific group, try an Alzheimer's group, caregiver group or well-spouse group. While they may not be targeted to the exact same things you are working with, it can still be a great help to talk with people dealing with a situation similar to yours.
