Medications for memory

Memantine (Namenda®), a NMDA-receptor antagonist, is approved for treating Alzheimer's. Preliminary evidence suggests it may provide some benefit for people with Pick's/FTD as well. The Memory and Aging Center will soon complete a research trial on memantine [1].
