MIND Study

Purpose of the Study

The MIND Study is designed to accurately distinguish mild cognitive impairment due to Alzheimer’s disease from HIV-associated cognitive impairment among individuals over age 60 by using machine learning for data-driven discovery of imaging and clinical data.

Study Details

Participation in this study involves neurological examinations, neuropsychological testing, geriatric syndrome assessment, functional testing, multimodal MRI, lumbar puncture and amyloid PET imaging. Study visits take place at the UCSF Memory and Aging Center.
