Parkinson’s Disease Eligibility & Screening Visit

Purpose of the Study

The UCSF Memory and Aging Center is currently recruiting participants with Parkinson’s disease (PD) for involvement in several different research projects at UC San Francisco and UC Berkeley.

Study Details

Inclusion Criteria: Ages 55–85 with confirmed diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease. Participants are also required to have a study partner available to either attend the screening visit with them or be available by phone. A study partner is defined as someone the participant has known for five or more years and who is in semi-regular contact with the participant.

Exclusion Criteria: Dementia

What to Expect

Participation in this 3-hour screening visit will consist of a neurological exam, neuropsychological testing, and an informant interview with the participant’s study partner. No costs will be charged for any of the study procedures, and parking will be validated at UCSF public garages for all study visits. There is no monetary compensation for participation.
