Ariel Sauri, BA

Staff Research Associate

Ariel joined the Yokoyama Lab at the Memory and Aging Center in February 2024 as a Staff Research Associate. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, where she received her bachelor’s degree in English and in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Ariel has experience assisting with research into the effects of environmental air pollution on neurodegenerative disease, as well as working in a clinical pathology setting; she is interested in learning more about neurogenetics.

Lisa Wauters

Lisa Wauters

Speech Pathologist

Lisa works as a research speech-language pathologist at the MAC. She earned her BA degree in English with a minor in Linguistics from Boston University in 2009 and her MA in Speech-Language Pathology from UT Austin in 2016. She has practiced speech pathology in a variety of settings, including a rehab hospital, home health and private practice. Her primary areas of research include assessment and treatment of aphasia and cognitive-communication disorders associated with stroke, neurodegenerative disease and traumatic brain injury.

Wei Ming Watson, PhD

Neuropsychology Fellow

Dr. Watson (she/her) is a neuropsychologist who cares for patients with a variety of cognitive and mental health needs. She is licensed in the state of California (PSY 34742) and conducts comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations at the UCSF Memory and Aging Center, community-based clinics for underserved communities in the Bay Area, and an independent practice. She currently works at UCSF as an NIH Brain Health Equity fellow.

Regina is a member of the ALBA Language Neurobiology Laboratory at the UCSF Memory and Aging Center.

Joyce Do, BA, BS

Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator

Joyce joined the Memory and Aging Center as an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator for the frontotemporal dementia research team on the Frontotemporal Dementia: Genes, Images and Emotions study. She graduated from the University of California, Davis with a bachelor's degree in psychology and human development.

Mai Anh Bui, MA

Data Scientist III

Mai Anh Bui is a data scientist III at the UCSF Memory and Aging Center. She previously worked as a data scientist at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, in which she used her analytic strengths to help education systems improve outcomes. She also worked at the World Bank Group, and the International Monetary Fund, where she utilized time series analysis and regression models to forecast gross domestic product and assess country risk.

Research Data Analyst

Pat is a research analyst in the Social Function Lab led by Dr. Katherine Rankin.

Claire Cadwallader, PhD

Postdoctoral Fellow

Claire is a postdoctoral fellow in neuropsychology at the UCSF Memory and Aging Center under the mentorship of Associate Professor Kaitlin Casaletto. Her research interests involve the role of lifestyle factors, such as physical activity, in supporting healthy brain aging and protecting against neurodegenerative disease.
