JOB OVERVIEW
The Clinical Neurosciences Research Lab Manager applies extensive knowledge of clinical research protocols and processes to design research projects of large scope and high degrees of complexity. Supports the management of biological materials including sample processing, running complex assays.

The Clinical Neurosciences Research Lab Manager will lead and oversee the daily activities of the Biospecimens processing and banking lab that serves the Neurosciences Clinical Research Unit and Memory and Aging Center. The Manager will draw upon an extensive knowledge base regarding biological sample processing, acquisition, banking and management, as well as trouble shooting and running commercially designed protein and other assays for investigators using the service. The Manager will utilize good knowledge of regulatory policies regarding sample tracking and chain of custody, and will develop standard operating procedures and maintain detailed records of samples.
