The SRA I/II will join a team of scientists conducting experiments central to the lab’s research efforts in investigating molecular mechanisms underlying selective neuronal vulnerability in Alzheimer’s disease and tauopathies. This individual will contribute to research projects by generating datasets and testing hypotheses using methods established in the lab including primary human cell culture, flow cytometry, gene targeting using CRISPR-Cas9 and gene expression analysis, Western blot, ELISA and single cell technologies. The SRA I/II will work closely with other experienced lab members, collaborate with clinical researchers at UCSF, and have the opportunity to develop additional research skills and contribute to development of new research directions in the lab.
