The Staff Research Associate II (SRA II) participates in research projects aimed at developing new diagnostic and treatment approaches to Alzheimer’s disease, Frontotemporal Dementia and other related dementias. The current projects are specifically investigating the development of novel diagnostic and prognostic fluid biomarkers in blood and cerebrospinal fluid, with the intention of support clinical trials efforts. The SRA II will lead sample identification, preparation and analysis for quantification of proteins in biofluids with emphasis on ELISA-based techniques, including operation and maintenance of multi-assay or automated platforms. The SRA II may also assist with processing of human biospecimens, entering data into clinical databases and data analysis. The SRA II will manage inventory of lab consumables, and supply purchases.

The UCSF Memory and Aging Center (MAC) is a dynamic multidisciplinary clinical and translational research program investigating neurodegenerative diseases. Our research focuses on understanding the best predictive factors and earliest causative changes in neurodegenerative disorders.
