The Lab Manager, Neurosciences Clinical Research Unit (NCRU) Specimen, participates in research projects aimed at developing new diagnostic and treatment approaches to Alzheimer’s disease, Frontotemporal Dementia and other related dementias. The position is responsible for, and critically important to NCRU, and Memory and Aging Center (MAC) investigators for the overall operational management of clinical research activities for the biospecimens processing lab. The Lab Manager has direct responsibility for implementing a diverse portfolio of processing protocols which include multicenter clinical trials (both National Institutes of Health - NIH and industry-sponsored), local investigator-initiated clinical trials, and clinical research activities, including a clinical database and biorepository LIMS system.

The UCSF Memory and Aging Center (MAC) is a dynamic multidisciplinary clinical research program investigating neurodegenerative diseases. Our research is focused in understanding the clinical, genetic, and diagnostic features of neurodegenerative brain diseases.
