Dr. Alejandra Sanchez-Lopez is a geriatrician and behavioral neurology clinical fellow at the UCSF Memory and Aging Center. She completed her medical degree at the Universidad Autonoma de Baja California in Tijuana, Mexico. She did her residency in internal medicine and a year as chief resident at Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in The Bronx. She then came to UCSF for her geriatric medicine fellowship, followed by a two-year fellowship in behavioral neurology, where she evaluates patients with cognitive impairment in the clinic and research setting. Her passion is caring for older adults with cognitive impairment and their families, and she is particularly interested in neuropsychiatric symptoms of dementia.
