The Technology Project Manager is a core resource at the center of our innovative and impactful technology program at the Memory and Aging Center that is critical to bringing next generation research tools to researchers in the space of degenerative brain diseases and the biology of healthy aging. This position is a rare opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to neurology clinical research via a health technology position in a diverse environment. The Project Manager’s role is to help manage the development and implementation of critical technology projects as well as support ongoing MAC Core Research Technology operations. Most project resources will be from MAC Core Technology team and some will be through partnership with other UCSF entities, and/or via 3rd party vendors/contractors, thus communications skills and a strong ability to work across organizational boundaries is crucial.
The Technology Project Manager provides key support throughout the project lifecycle, tracking tasks, milestones, and resources, managing risk to timelines escalating to leadership when appropriate. The individual under the guidance of the Director of Technical Operations guides MAC Core Technology project team(s) by: providing measurable, client- focused approaches to project management; assisting with change management; providing regular analysis and feedback on all phases of projects to the Director of Technical Operations.
