As the technical leader on this project, you will own the technical design and development of web-based applications and backend services. You will provide technical guidance for large scale projects related to web-based applications and digital tools used for dyslexia screening, free of charge, across the state of California. You will collaborate with, mentor, and train other engineers. You will establish patterns to ensure engineering effectiveness and engineering excelllence. You’ll work your team to push projects forward by providing feedback on code and architecture decisions. You will keep up a working knowledge of evolving tools and innovations in programming to guide engineering execution and implementation.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.

For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
