The fellow will conduct research investigating the pathological changes in subcortical sleep-wake nuclei that occur in Alzheimer’s disease and other tauopathies. The fellow will obtain advanced training in neuroanatomy, neurohistology and quantitative human neuropathology in order to facilitate experiments geared toward understanding the biological basis of sleep disturbances presented clinically in patients with AD and related disorders. |
