The Staff Research Associate (SRA) will support a neuroscience research program investigating how cannabinoids and the endocannabinoid system influence brain development and recovery from injury. The SRA will contribute to a variety of experimental procedures, including rodent behavioral testing, tissue processing, immunohistochemistry, qRT-PCR, western blotting, and microscopy. They will also conduct neuronal reconstruction and morphometric analysis using software (Neurolucida). Additional responsibilities include preparing reagents, maintaining accurate lab records, and assisting with compliance-related tasks. The SRA will work under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator and collaborate with lab members to advance research objectives. They are also expected to attend and participate in Weekly Lab meetings.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $26.00 - $31.04 (Hourly Rate).
