Gloria Annette Aguirre
Gloria Aguirre is an artist and community advocate who joined the Memory and Aging Center in 2019. She is an Atlantic Fellow for Health Equity based at George Washington University in Washington D.C. and serves as Artistic Director of Creative Minds, the San Francisco community arts for brain health initiative, and Community Engagement Manager for the Community Outreach Program at the MAC. Advocating for long-term investments to improve health literacy and access to care in often marginalized communities, she believes that humanity’s most powerful tools for change are curiosity and creativity. She is dedicated to working with underserved communities to co-create meaningful changes.
Gloria is from Miami, Florida, and holds a BA degree in Psychology, with additional training in counseling psychology from Florida International University. Prior to moving to San Francisco, she worked on Medicaid long-term care reform efforts with aging community members, and with families navigating care for children with autism.
