Christa Pereira, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in neuropsychology and learning differences. She is an assistant professor at the UCSF Edward and Pearl Fein Memory and Aging Center and the UCSF Dyslexia Center. Dr. Pereira is dedicated to helping individuals and families gain a deeper understanding of their learning challenges and strengths, offering personalized neuropsychological assessments and practical recommendations to enhance educational and daily outcomes.

Dr. Pereira earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from the PGSP-Stanford PsyD Consortium at Palo Alto University, an APA-accredited program. She completed her internship at the Loma Linda VA Health Care System, where she gained experience conducting neuropsychological evaluations for diverse populations. She continued her training with a postdoctoral fellowship at the UCSF Fein Memory and Aging Center and UCSF Dyslexia Center, focusing on developmental neuropsychology. Dr. Pereira has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on topics such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, and other learning disorders, including a recent study on semantic strengths in dyslexia.

Dr. Pereira specializes in neuropsychological assessments, executive functioning coaching, and interventions for learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, developmental language disorders, and related challenges. She also integrates evidence-based treatments, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT). She frequently collaborates with educators and stakeholders to develop tailored learning plans that address specific needs.
