Francesca Pei
In addition to her doctorate degree in Developmental Neuroscience from the University of Pisa, Francesca Pei brings over 20 years of leadership, operational management and strategic planning in a variety of health care, research, academic and education settings. She joined UCSF in 2022 as the Chief Operating Officer for Applied Neuroscience projects in the ALBA Lab at the MAC. Major projects that she oversees in this role include UCSF’s contributions to the California Institute for Law, Neuroscience and Education (CILNE) and the UCSF Dyslexia Center’s Multitudes project, a state-funded initiative to translate the latest neuroscientific knowledge into a free, early dyslexia screener for all California public schools. She enjoys new challenges, complex projects and working in multidisciplinary environments that focus on making an impact in health care and education for children.
Francesca enjoys cooking, spending time with her two rescue dogs and fostering many others.
