Alexandra Weigand, MS

Alex Weigand (she/they) is a first-year UCSF Clinical Psychology Training Program (CPTP) intern/fellow working at the Memory and Aging Center (MAC) as part of Dr. Possin's research group. She is coming to UCSF from her clinical psychology PhD program at San Diego State University/University of California San Diego.

Alex's research focuses on characterizing biological and cognitive heterogeneity in preclinical Alzheimer’s disease using multimodal assessments (e.g., neuropsychological, neuroimaging, biofluid) and statistical techniques such as latent profile analysis and linear mixed effects modeling. Clinically, they are interested in lifespan neuropsychological assessment ranging from ADHD and learning disorders to dementia syndromes, as well as the cognitive effects of primary psychiatric conditions.
