
Caroline Prioleau
Caroline Prioleau is a writer and designer at the UCSF Edward and Pearl Fein Memory and Aging Center and the Global Brain Health Institute, where she has worked for more than 15 years to communicate scientific findings, clinical issues, and patient and caregiver experiences. With a background in science and medicine, Caroline transitioned into graphic design and communications, aiming to make complex information more accessible to everyone. She specializes in bridging the gap between technical language and human understanding, using design and storytelling to foster connections and curiosity.
Caroline co-leads the hear/say oral history project, which ethically collects and shares personal stories about aging, dementia, and caregiving. The project has produced books, a documentary film, and workshops designed to reduce stigma and foster open conversations about aging.
Caroline holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from Davidson College and has received multiple awards, including the UCSF Chancellor’s Award for Exceptional University Service.
