Abigail Licata is a research associate within the  ALBA Language Neurobiology laboratory, focused on neuroimaging of PPA and dyslexia. She completed her BS degree in neuroscience and examined preliterate assessment of dyslexia and sound symbolism. Her MSc degree in neuro-cognitive psychology centered around a multi-modal analysis of primary progressive aphasia (PPA) within a German cohort. She has additionally presented at conferences across eastern and western Europe with the aim of improving inter-professional collaboration with regard to dementia care and awareness. Abigail’s research interests include genetic mutations in frontotemporal dementia, language- and neurodegenerative-related brain changes, nosology and assessment of PPA as well as the effects of meditation on age-related cognitive decline.
