Research Fellow

Adit Friedberg, MD, is a behavioral neurologist trained in the Department of Neurology in the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center. She received her medical degree from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (cum laude). She also completed a degree in Biotechnology Engineering (cum laude) from Ben Gurion University of the Negev. Adit is an Atlantic Fellow for Equity in Brain Health. She is currently a research fellow at the Memory and Aging Center at UCSF.

Her research interests are always inspired by her clinical work with patients and include:

  1. Describing the neural mechanisms underlying complex behaviors in patients with neurodegenerative diseases. To accomplish this, she employs multimodal neuroimaging techniques.
  2. Investigating the relationship between age-related biological phenomena and neurodegenerative diseases. To that end, she leverages genomic and transcriptomic tools.

Along with her research projects, she also leads the Genetic Clinical Case Conferences at the Memory and Aging Center to promote and disseminate knowledge about the genetic causes of dementia.
