Alexandra Apple is a neuropsychology postdoctoral fellow under the mentorship of Dr. Joel Kramer. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine, studying the structural and functional markers of cancer-related cognitive impairment. Dr. Apple completed her internship at UCSF’s Clinical Psychology Training Program (CPTP) and is starting her postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at the Memory and Aging Center in 2019.

Dr. Apple’s research focuses on combining neuropsychological and imaging neurosciences to elucidate mechanisms of cognitive decline in clinical populations, as well as cognitive maintenance/resilience in normal aging. Her long term-goal is to use neuroimaging measures identify behavioral and cognitive interventions that may improve upon resilience in the aging population.
