Amy Liu is a Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics postdoctoral fellow working with Dr. Katherine Possin and Dr. Kirby Lee on the Care Ecosystem team. Her research interests include geriatric pharmacotherapy and medication management. She hopes to pursue a career in clinical pharmacology for neurodegenerative diseases drug development.

She completed her undergraduate training in neuroscience at UC Davis. As an analyst in Dr. Charles DeCarli’s Imaging of Dementia and Aging (IDeA) Laboratory, she investigated mechanisms of cognitive decline due to hippocampal atrophy and microstructural damage in the fornix. She subsequently designed preclinical pharmacology models for infectious diseases drug discovery at the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research. Prior to joining the UCSF Memory and Aging Center, she completed her PharmD in the pharmaceutical sciences research pathway at UCSF.
