Buddhika began working at the Memory and Aging Center as an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator with the ALBA Language Neurobiology Lab, shortly after graduating with a degree in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley in May 2020. He helps coordinate the Project Programs Grant, a longitudinal study collecting behavioral and brain imaging measures on patients with primary progressive aphasia (PPA).

At UC Berkeley, Buddhika worked as a research assistant, where he helped conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis looking at the effect of the pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) on antimicrobial resistance in pediatric populations. Buddhika hopes to attend medical school and eventually become a doctor, with the primary focus of working in underserved communities.

In his spare time, he enjoys exploring restaurants in San Francisco, running through Golden Gate Park, and playing soccer.
