Ehud Zeltzer

Dr. Ehud Zeltzer joined the Memory and Aging Center (MAC) in 2021. He graduated from the Medical School of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2010. He then served as a flight surgeon and clinic commander in the Israeli Air Force until 2015. He completed his Neurology Residency in Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov), where he served as chief resident and passed the Neurology Board Exams with honors.

During residency, Dr. Zeltzer held a Cognitive Neurology clinic that treated patients with cognitive and behavioral disorders. His research focused on the way Alzheimer’s disease affects patients’ awareness of their own cognitive deficits. In addition, he studied the effects of Alzheimer’s disease on the perception of numerosities and the ability to perform calculations. He also examined the interaction between impairment in mathematical cognition and patients’ capacity to manage their own finances.

At UCSF Dr. Zeltzer is working with Prof. Gil Rabinovici on PET imaging and other biomarkers in neurodegenerative diseases.
