Melanie Stephens, PhD, is an associate professor in the Department of Neurology at UCSF and directs the UCSF Edward and Pearl Fein Memory and Aging Center Clinic. She is a clinical neuropsychologist who oversees patient care and specializes in evaluating individuals with cognitive and behavioral changes resulting from neurodegenerative diseases.
Dr. Stephens earned her master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology and completed fellowship training in neuropsychology at the Fein Memory and Aging Center. She joined the UCSF faculty shortly thereafter and is dedicated to improving the lives of patients and their families through compassionate, evidence-based care and multidisciplinary collaboration. Her work reflects UCSF’s mission to advance health worldwide and to provide innovative solutions to the growing challenges of memory and aging disorders.
