Oscar holds a bachelor’s degree in Middle East and Islamic Studies from California State University Sacramento and a masters of education in higher education administration from Northeastern University. Prior to joining the UCSF Memory and Aging Center, Oscar worked in admissions and student affairs at various universities in San Francisco. His work experience includes the roles of Admissions and Student Affairs Manager for the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science at UCSF, Education and Fellowship Administrator for the Division of Nephrology at UCSF, Graduate Academic Advisor at the Academy of Art University, and Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions and Academic Advising at Golden Gate University.

At the Memory and Aging Center, he works with Dr. William Seeley to manage the Neurodegenerative Disease Brain Bank, facilitating both the participant donation process and requests for tissue from investigators researching neurological disease.

In his spare time, he loves to travel, spend time with friends, try new restaurants, and enjoys playing the cello, violin and banjo.
