Chinese Speaking

Yun-Ting (Katie) was born in Taiwan and is a registered nurse with several years of clinical experience in emergency medicine and anesthesiology in Taiwan. She earned her master’s degree in global health sciences from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in 2025.

Shirley was born in Guangzhou, China, and grew up in Los Angeles. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. During her undergraduate studies, she worked as a certified pharmacy technician, gaining patient care experience in the emergency department and on the surgical nursing floor at USC Arcadia Hospital.

Rayna was born and raised in Shenzhen, China. She holds an MPhil in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Cambridge and dual BA degrees in English and Digital Media from the University of Rochester. At the UCSF Memory and Aging Center, she works as a clinical research coordinator in Dr. Tee’s lab, supporting study coordination and participant engagement for Chinese-speaking populations.

Joanne (Joe) Wu was born in Taishan, China, and moved to San Francisco at a young age. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in human biology from the University of California, San Diego. As an undergraduate researcher in the Zheng Lab at UC San Diego School of Medicine, she focused on spinal cord regeneration in mouse models.

Fangda was enrolled in an 8-year MD program at Peking University in 2013. After obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine degree in 2018, he joined Prof. Edison’s lab at Imperial College London and was awarded his PhD degree in brain science. He continued his clinical program in 2021 and obtained his medical degree in neurology in 2024. He is now a post-doctoral researcher in TeeLab at the UCSF Memory and Aging Center, with a focus on neuroimaging research.

Anna is a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Tee Lab.

Lily was born and raised in Lanzhou, China. She attended the University of California, San Diego, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Cognitive Science with a specialization in Design and Interaction and a Bachelor of Science degree in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience (CBN). At the UCSF Edward and Pearl Fein Memory and Aging Center, she serves as a Clinical Research Coordinator, coordinating Mandarin-speaking participants.

Stephanie was born and raised in Hong Kong. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in cognitive science and linguistics from the University of California, Berkeley. At the Edward and Pearl Fein Memory and Aging Center, she coordinates visits for Chinese-speaking participants. Stephanie plans to pursue a graduate degree in speech-language pathology in the near future.

Diana is a clinical research coordinator for the NIH-designated Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center at the Edward and Pearl Fein Memory and Aging Center, where she coordinates visits for Mandarin-speaking participants. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in neurobiology, physiology, and behavior from the University of California, Davis.

Kevin was born and raised in San Francisco, California. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in neurobiology, physiology, and behavior and a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of California, Davis. Before joining the Edward and Pearl Fein Memory and Aging Center, Kevin volunteered at On Lok Lifeways, where he interacted with Chinese elders in the Chinatown area.

He is currently a research coordinator for the UCSF Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, coordinating visits for participants who speak Cantonese and English.
