Gloria Annette Aguirre

Community Engagement Manager and Creative Minds Artistic Director

Gloria Aguirre is an artist and community advocate who has been part of the Edward and Pearl Fein Memory and Aging Center since 2019. She is an Atlantic Fellow for Health Equity at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and serves as the Artistic Director of Creative Minds, a San Francisco-based community arts initiative advancing brain health. She also works as the Community Engagement Manager for the Fein Memory and Aging Center’s Community Outreach Program.

Kevin Lieu

Research Coordinator

Kevin was born and raised in San Francisco, California. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in neurobiology, physiology, and behavior and a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of California, Davis. Before joining the Edward and Pearl Fein Memory and Aging Center, Kevin volunteered at On Lok Lifeways, where he interacted with Chinese elders in the Chinatown area.

He is currently a research coordinator for the UCSF Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, coordinating visits for participants who speak Cantonese and English.

Serggio Lanata, MD, MS

Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology

Serggio Lanata, MD, MS, is a neurologist and clinical researcher dedicated to advancing brain health and improving care for individuals with cognitive impairment and dementia. He serves as the director of the UCSF Edward and Pearl Fein Memory and Aging Center Community Outreach Program, which works to educate medically, economically, and educationally disadvantaged populations about brain health and dementia and encourages participation in clinical research.
