Andrea Weng, MD, is the Outreach Research Manager for the Outreach, Recruitment, and Engagement (ORE) Core of the UCSF Edward and Pearl Fein Memory and Aging Center, part of the UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences and the UCSF Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC). She supports the ORE Core's community outreach and research initiatives, helping connect diverse communities with opportunities to participate in research that advances the understanding of memory and aging.
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Weng earned her medical degree from Taipei Medical University in Taiwan, where she also completed her clinical training. She returned to the Bay Area during the COVID-19 pandemic and transitioned from clinical medicine to research, joining the Fein Memory and Aging Center as Outreach Research Manager.
Outside of work, Dr. Weng is an avid runner who enjoys designing and playing video and board games, as well as exploring the outdoors. She is working toward visiting all 63 U.S. national parks.
