Nathaniel Morris

Clinical Research Coordinator

Nathaniel comes from Marin County and graduated from Stanford in 2018 with a degree in psychology. At Stanford he worked as a research assistant in Dr. James Gross’ lab studying the regulation of emotions in groups as well as the emotional dynamics between group members. Nathaniel also studied the effects of depression and anxiety on brain structures. At the Memory and Aging Center, he is a research coordinator in the Clinical Affective Neuroscience (CAN) Laboratory, led by Dr. Virginia Sturm.

Lily Munoz, MS

Clinical Research Coordinator

Lily is a graduate of the University of San Francisco with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and minors in gerontology and music and has completed a Master of Science in gerontology at USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology. Her primary interests include cognition and improving the quality of life for older adults with neurodegenerative diseases.

Heather Murphy

Clinical Research Coordinator

Heather Murphy Elgin, EdM, is a research coordinator for the UCSF Dyslexia Center’s Multitudes project. Prior to UCSF, she worked in educational research as an instructional coach, reading specialist, special educator, and classroom teacher in Cambridge, New York City, Washington, DC, and San Francisco.

Alissa Nana Li, PhD

Associate Lab Specialist

Alissa joined the Seeley Selective Vulnerability Research Laboratory in 2011 as a postdoctoral fellow. Her background is in neurodegeneration research. Alissa completed a BSc degree with honors in biomedical science in 2004 and a PhD degree in anatomy in 2009 from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, where she investigated the variable pattern of cortical neuronal loss in Huntington’s disease.

Ayesha Nanda

Autopsy Coordinator

Ayesha graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bsc degree in Psychological Sciences where she primarily involved herself in researching family relationships and COVID-19 tracing and public health interventions. While on campus, she was also involved in outreach through founding and leading her club, Women in Psychology.

Kris Noyes

Research Lab Supervisor

Kris is a research lab supervisor at the Memory and Aging Center with 11 years of progressive experience in clinical research. She is currently focused on laboratory operations. Her education is in laboratory sciences and allied health.

Eleanor O'brien

Education Coordinator

Eleanor O'Brien coordinates the educational programs at the Memory and Aging Center.

Alexis Oddi

Clinical Research Coord.

Alexis is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Data Science and a concentration in Urban Science. As an Undergraduate Research Assistant, Alexis studied the impact of the technology industry on housing in the Bay Area. Her specialities include data mapping and data visualization, and she is deeply interested in the intersections of neurology, data science, and social justice.

Joseph Oh

Staff Research Associate

Joseph graduated from UC Berkeley in 2017 with honors in molecular and cell biology (neurobiology). He began his research career in UCSF's Weill Institute for Neurosciences in Summer 2014 as a research assistant for Dr. William Seeley's Selective Vulnerability Research Lab. In Seeley’s lab, Joseph assisted with human brain banking and neuropathology studies of frontotemporal dementia.

Ian Oh

Staff Research Associate III

Ian joined the Grinberg Lab in the fall of 2018 as an undergraduate research assistant due to his interest in neurodegeneration, following years of research experience in behavioral and molecular neuroscience. After graduating from UC Berkeley in 2021 with a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology and Data Science, he continued his work at the lab as a full-time staff research associate.

Molly Olzinski

SRA Imaging Coordinator

Molly Olzinski is Staff Research Associate Imaging Coordinator with the Imaging Core. She works primarily with the Boxer Lab and BRANCH.
