Salma Rocha, BA

Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator

Salma was born and raised in Orange County, California. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in May 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Molecular and Cell Biology: Neurobiology and Spanish Linguistics. She is now working as an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator to aid with various studies related to Alzheimer's disease in the Rabinovici Lab.

Andjelika works with the Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health and Global Brain Health Institute (GBHI) staff to support data-related needs for projects ranging from neuroscience to clinical and social research.

Bailey McEachen

Clinical Research Coordinator

Bailey is a clinical research coordinator in the Rankin Socioemotional Neuropsychology Lab at the UCSF Memory and Aging Center. She is helping research fMRI predictors of empathy in healthy aging and frontotemporal dementia. She received her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame and completed her master’s degree in Translational Medicine from the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of California, San Francisco.

Mariah Pospisil, MEd

Learning Interventions Applied Research Manager

Mariah L. Pospisil, MEd, is a lifelong educator and advocate for students with dyslexia. After receiving her AB degree in Psychology from Harvard College, Mariah earned her teaching credential and Master of Education as an Education Specialist, Mild/Moderate from Notre Dame de Namur University. As a teacher, instructional coach, and school leader, Mariah focused on implementing instructional and social-emotional interventions to support students with dyslexia throughout their K–12 educational journeys.

Heather Murphy Elgin, EdM, is a research coordinator for the UCSF Dyslexia Center’s Multitudes project. Prior to UCSF, she worked in educational research as an instructional coach, reading specialist, special educator, and classroom teacher in Cambridge, New York City, Washington, DC, and San Francisco.

Francesca Pei

Chief Operating Officer, Multitudes, ALBA Language Neurobiology Lab

In addition to her doctorate degree in Developmental Neuroscience from the University of Pisa, Francesca Pei brings over 20 years of leadership, operational management and strategic planning in a variety of health care, research, academic and education settings. She joined UCSF in 2022 as the Chief Operating Officer for Applied Neuroscience projects in the ALBA Lab at the MAC.
