Bailey is a clinical research coordinator in the Rankin Socioemotional Neuropsychology Lab at the UCSF Memory and Aging Center. She is helping research fMRI predictors of empathy in healthy aging and frontotemporal dementia. She received her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame and completed her master’s degree in Translational Medicine from the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Tobias Haeusermann is a sociologist in the UCSF Decision Lab with Dr. Winston Chiong, where his research aims to understand the ethical concerns in existing clinical applications of closed-loop neuromodulation in epilepsy, movement disorders and mood disorders.
Dr. Kate Rankin is a professor in the UCSF Department of Neurology who specializes in the neuropsychological, neuroanatomic and genetic underpinnings of human socioemotional behavior in healthy aging and neurodegenerative disease. She studied psychology at Yale for her undergraduate work and received graduate degrees from Fuller School of Psychology in Pasadena, including her PhD degree in clinical psychology and a master’s degree in theology.
