Corrina Fonseca, PhD, is a postdoctoral researcher in the Rabinovici Lab at the UCSF Edward and Pearl Fein Memory and Aging Center, part of the UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences. Dr. Fonseca uses advanced brain imaging and clinical data to study Alzheimer’s disease and related neurodegenerative conditions. Her research focuses on improving our understanding of differences among individuals with these diseases, with the goal of informing more accurate diagnosis and prognosis.
Dr. Fonseca earned her PhD in neuroscience from UC Berkeley in 2026, where she conducted her doctoral research in the Jagust Lab. She used multiple types of brain imaging, including amyloid and tau positron emission tomography (PET), to investigate how Alzheimer’s disease pathology develops and spreads throughout the brain over time.
As a postdoctoral researcher, Dr. Fonseca applies her expertise in neuroimaging to clinical datasets that reflect real-world patient populations. Her work examines how imaging and other clinical information can help researchers and clinicians better understand variation in Alzheimer’s disease and related neurodegenerative conditions.
