Piyush Maiti, MS
Piyush is a Neuroimaging Data analyst in the RabLab, with experience in medical imaging. He obtained his master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from India.
Piyush’s research interests involve developing and optimizing image processing protocols and kinetic modeling techniques for various neuroimaging modalities, including PET-CT scans and MRI. He has experience in using these modalities to study neurodegenerative diseases and neurodevelopmental impairments.
Prior to joining the RabLab, Piyush worked at Washington University in St. Louis and the Imaging Genetics Center at Keck School of Medicine, USC. He also worked at the Computational Imaging of Brain Organization Research Group (CIBORG) at the Children's Hospital Los Angeles, where he assisted with studies on neurodevelopmental impairments in neonates.
In his free time, Piyush enjoys experimenting with new recipes and discovering new food. He is also an avid hiker who loves to explore the great outdoors.
