Rian Bogley

Clinical Research Coordinator

Rian graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2018 with a BS degree in Biology. He is now a research coordinator in the ALBA Language Neurobiology Lab and UCSF Dyslexia Center. At the Dyslexia Center, he works primarily on neuroimaging data as well as the adult dyslexia arm of the Dyslexia Phenotyping Project. At the ALBA Lab, he works closely with Dr. Zac Miller.

Adam Boxer, MD, PhD

Adam L. Boxer, MD, PhD, is Endowed Professor in Memory and Aging in the Department of Neurology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He directs UCSF’s Neurosciences Clinical Research Unit and the Alzheimer’s Disease and Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD) Clinical Trials Program at the UCSF Memory and Aging Center. Dr.

Nicole Boyd

Clinical Research Coordinator

Nicole Boyd is a clinical research coordinator in the Division of Geriatrics. She is working on a collaboration between the Memory and Aging Center and the Division of Geriatrics on a GBHI-funded project exploring the palliative care needs and challenges of people with dementia and their caregivers.

Andrew Breithaupt, MD

Behavioral Neurology Clinical Fellow

Drew attended undergraduate school at UNC-Chapel Hill, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health (BSPH) with a major in Health Policy and Management. After graduation, he worked for a strategy consulting firm in healthcare for two years in Washington D.C. He went to Johns Hopkins for medical school and then came to UCSF for neurology residency.

His interests have predominantly been in implementation science, business in medicine, quality improvement, and clinical presentations in the grey area between neurology and psychiatry.

Iris Broce-Diaz, PhD

Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr. Broce is a postdoctoral scholar in the Yokoyama Lab at the UCSF Memory and Aging Center and the Radiology and Biomedical Imaging Department at UCSF. Her research combines neuroimaging, genetics and computational methods to discover pathological mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative conditions.

Melissa Brown

Technical Assistance Coord

Melissa is a clinical research analyst in the ALBA Lab and Dyslexia Center.

Jesse Brown, PhD

Assistant Professor

Dr. Jesse Brown is an assistant professor and works closely with the Seeley Selective Vulnerability Research Lab. His research is focused on:

  1. unraveling functional and anatomical brain connectivity
  2. diagnosing, tracking and ultimately curing neurodegenerative disease
  3. advancing neuroimaging data sharing and visualization

Nhat Bui, NP

Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner

Nhật Bùi earned her master’s degree in nursing here at UCSF in 2016. She is certified as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Nhật assists with the Alzheimer’s Dementia Research Center and clinical trial projects by conducting patient assessments and caregiver interviews for observational research studies and clinical drug trials.
