Fields of Interest
Sean Coulborn is a postdoctoral researcher at the UCSF Edward and Pearl Fein Memory and Aging Center, working under the mentorship of David Perry, MD. His research focuses on improving the certainty of clinical diagnoses and predicting pathological diagnoses in neurodegenerative diseases.
Before joining UCSF, Sean completed a postdoctoral position at UC Berkeley, where he studied the neural mechanisms involved in decision-making and examined how abnormalities in these processes relate to dimensional measures of psychopathology. He earned his PhD in psychology from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom, where he investigated the neural correlates of consciousness using multimodal imaging methods.
