Youjin Jung, PhD

Postdoctoral Fellow
Fields of Interest:

Youjin joined the Dementia Imaging Genetics Lab, led by Dr. Suzee Lee, in February 2024 as a Postdoctoral Scholar to investigate potential multimodal neuroimaging biomarkers for early detection and monitoring of frontotemporal dementia. Youjin received her bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Home Economics Education and a master’s degree in brain and cognitive engineering from Korea University in South Korea. Youjin then completed her PhD in Psychology at Wayne State University in 2023, where her research focused on the relationship between plasma neurofilament light (NfL) and multimodal neuroimaging markers in older adults with Alzheimer’s disease. Additionally, she studied the moderating role of APOE in the connection between vascular risk factors and white matter hyperintensities in typically aging older adults.
