Amie Wallman-Jones joined the UCSF Clinical Affective Neuroscience Lab (CAN) Lab at the Memory and Aging Center in February 2023. She previously received her PhD degree from the University of Bern in Switzerland. Her graduate work assessed how physical activity influences interoceptive processing, where she used a multi-method approach to reveal the active ingredients driving this relationship.
Lily joined the Seeley Lab in September 2023 as a research associate and assists with the brain bank, immunohistochemistry, and other technical work for various projects. Lily received a BA degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley in May 2023. As an undergraduate, Lily was a research assistant for a lab studying the neural pathways of feeding behavior in Drosophila, along with working in public health, sexual health education, and sexual violence and harassment prevention.
David is a Staff Research Associate at the ALBA Lab working under Dr. Jet Vonk on dementia research. He graduated from Columbia University with a BA degree in computer science and has previously worked at the Taub Institute at Columbia University Medical Center. His work focuses on generating new automated methods for analyzing verbal fluency across different languages.
Stefanie Piña Escudero is a geriatrician working to understand and reduce the impact of social vulnerability on older adults with cognitive impairment. She is collaborating with the Multi-Partner Consortium to Expand Dementia Research in Latin America to develop a better understanding of dementia in the region with a special focus on social factors such as mistreatment.
Stefanie received her medical school training from the National University of Mexico where she completed her training in Geriatrics. She received her Internal Medicine training from La Salle University.;
