Nikhil joined the Seeley Lab at the UCSF Memory and Aging Center in December 2023 as a Specialist. After completing his MSc degree in Neuroscience, Nikhil’s career has focused on developing digital solutions in diverse life-science environments, including academia (Columbia University), large corporations (Abbott Labs), and biomedical startups. Nikhil left Abbott in 2022 after 17 years; one of his accomplishments was leading the software organization that created the mobile app for the blockbuster FreeStyle Libre product.
Amie Wallman-Jones joined the UCSF Clinical Affective Neuroscience Lab (CAN) Lab at the Memory and Aging Center in February 2023. She previously received her PhD degree from the University of Bern in Switzerland. Her graduate work assessed how physical activity influences interoceptive processing, where she used a multi-method approach to reveal the active ingredients driving this relationship.
Lily joined the Seeley Lab in September 2023 as a research associate and assists with the brain bank, immunohistochemistry, and other technical work for various projects. Lily received a BA degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley in May 2023. As an undergraduate, Lily was a research assistant for a lab studying the neural pathways of feeding behavior in Drosophila, along with working in public health, sexual health education, and sexual violence and harassment prevention.
