Chris works as a Data Analyst in the Memory and Aging Center under Dr. Kate Possin. Chris collaborates with the TabCAT team and Care Ecosystem project, where he excels in data visualization, statistical modeling, and data management. He works mainly in R and Python.
Tiffany Chow joined the Clinical Affective Neuroscience (CAN) Laboratory as a postdoctoral scholar in 2018. She received her PhD degree in cognitive neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2017. Her graduate work assessed the neural correlates of episodic memory retrieval through the use of functional magnetic resonance imaging, transcranial direct current stimulation, and wearable camera technology.
The Clelland laboratory aims to develop cures for dementia and related neurodegenerative diseases. She is focused on monogenic causes of frontotemporal dementia and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, such as mutations in the C9orf72 gene. She and her team develop CRISPR gene editing approaches in relevant cell types derived from human iPSCs and are working to develop better cell model systems of disease.
Aaron Colverson is a Doctor of Philosophy in Ethnomusicology, with partnering research in Neuropsychology. He graduated from Berklee College of Music with a BM degree in Professional Music focused on jazz violin performance after which, he moved to Nairobi, Kenya for two years, embedding himself in East African musical traditions and cultures. He received a fellowship to study music and prosocial interaction in Alzheimer’s disease and endeavors to build cross-disciplinary competency between ethnomusicology and neuropsychology in the context of gerontology.
Celica joined the Seeley Lab in September 2016 as a research associate to assist with the Neurodegenerative Disease Brain Bank and other technical work for various projects. She received her BA degree in molecular and cell biology with a neurobiology emphasis from University of California, Berkeley in August 2016.
Sean Coulborn is a postdoctoral researcher at the UCSF Memory and Aging Center under the mentorship of Dr. David Perry. His research focuses on improving the certainty of clinical diagnosis and predicting the pathological diagnosis in neurodegenerative diseases.
Noah attended college at UC Berkeley where he recently graduated with a BA degree in neurobiology. Currently, Noah is an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator at the Memory and Aging Center for Dr. David Perry and Dr. Winston Chiong. Noah is interested in how reward processing and decision-making are impacted by neurodegenerative disease.
Dr. Jessica de Leon received her undergraduate degrees in neuroscience and Spanish at the Johns Hopkins University and an MD with thesis degree at UCSF. She then completed a medicine internship and neurology residency at UCSF, where she served as chief resident.
Aura coordinates the Pilot Awards program within the Global Brain Health Institute (GBHI). She also works closely with the International Research Manager to support regional impact efforts, with a particular focus on subawards, contracts and vendor payments.
